can i just say that i am loving spring time right now? im pretty sure its my most favorite season. i mean, we do live in ireland, so its green all year round, but let me tell you, as soon as there is a few days of sun and the tiniest bit of warmth after a long hard winter...BAM! i tell you, there are shades of green you didnt even know existed!
winter is rough, by golly, sometimes it feels like it will never end, but when the temperature rises and those little buds start showing on the brown, seemingly dead, trees... it all becomes worth it! i honestly believe that there is no better place to be than in ireland in the spring. well, when the sun is out, and the weather is nice, which is not too often, but i digress...

now, i am most pleased to announce that the lavender i planted last summer has survived the harsh winter! oh, its most beautiful! there are three types, english, french, and white. and boy, are they lovely.
