'rents

well, its been a while since my last post, and i must apologize! 

my parents are here at the moment, and have been since last wednesday. 

its been so good having them here in our home, sharing with them our life and its happenings. they have met just about everyone in the church and have seen the city, and eaten some really good food! 

today we are going to do some more walking around waterford, and tomorrow we are going to take the long trek up to Cong. Cong is where "the quiet man" was filmed. its one of my dads favorites. plus, clay and i have never been that far up west, so it will be an adventure for us too! 

welp, i hear stirring in the room next door, so i must go make some coffee.

can i just say that i am loving spring time right now? im pretty sure its my most favorite season. i mean, we do live in ireland, so its green all year round, but let me tell you, as soon as there is a few days of sun and the tiniest bit of warmth after a long hard winter...BAM! i tell you, there are shades of green you didnt even know existed!
winter is rough, by golly, sometimes it feels like it will never end, but when the temperature rises and those little buds start showing on the brown, seemingly dead, trees... it all becomes worth it! i honestly believe that there is no better place to be than in ireland in the spring. well, when the sun is out, and the weather is nice, which is not too often, but i digress...

now, i am most pleased to announce that the lavender i planted last summer has survived the harsh winter! oh, its most beautiful! there are three types, english, french, and white. and boy, are they lovely.

i may or may not be making cinnamon rolls, decorating my sitting room, preparing some lady grey tea, having a few girls over, and getting dressed up to watch the royal wedding. like i said, MAY or MAY NOT be. pictures to come, im sure.
