its was three years ago this day, that clay & i were getting off a plane at the dublin airport, with our entire lives packed in four 50lb check-in suitcases, and two 2' x 2' carry-on items. we were fresh from the altar, smiling newlyweds, ready to start a whole new life here, the land of green rolling hills and castles older than america itself. i remember the drive from the airport, up the m1 to dundalk, in the back of robert truesdale's sedan. sitting in comfy leather seats, watching the landscape zoom by, my head still reeling from the long sleepless flight and the too much breathing of recycled air. it was a short drive and when we got to where we would call home for the first year of our marriage, we found the bed nicely made, the heater on, and some little foods in the fridge. everything we needed to get through the first few days of jetlag. eat, shower, sleep. repeat.
its crazy to think that was only three years ago. i say "only" because three years is a short amount of time in the large scale of things, but i say "crazy" because its incredible all the things God has done in that time.
As it is written, "what no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him"
